The Maternal Mental Health Leadership Alliance (MMHLA) is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, dedicated to to advocate for universal education, screening, referral, and treatment for maternal mental health issues for all childbearing women in the United States. MMHLA is funded by voluntary donations, grants, and gifts from stakeholders (including individuals, foundations, corporations, and other entities) who support the MMHLA mission – however, MMHLA maintains strict independence and control of all programming, messages and materials, and activities. It is MMHLA policy, subject to regular review by the Board of Directors, to refuse any support that jeopardize outcome independence, diminish the discretion of MMHLA and its Board, or that require MMHLA to endorse or advance any specific product, service, medical provider, or the like.
