MMHLA Hosts 3rd Annual Roundtable for Military Mothers’ Mental Health

On July 13, 2026, Maternal Mental Health Leadership Alliance (MMHLA) hosted its 3rd Annual Roundtable on Military Mothers’ Mental Health bringing together over 60 professionals, advocates, researchers, healthcare providers, service members, and organizations committed to supporting the maternal mental health of service members, veterans, and military spouses.

The event created an opportunity for attendees to learn about the current military maternal mental health needs, share resources and research, build new connections, and identify opportunities for collaboration. The event also featured discussions about policy, access to care, and the future of military maternal mental health.

In a dynamic “speed dating” session, attendees were able to share their organizations, programs, research, and resources that are serving military mothers and families.

In addition, insightful presentations were given on critical topics, including:

MMHLA Executive Director, Adrienne Griffen, MPP, presenting on an Overview of the Roundtable.

LTC Laura Manzo, PhD, MSN, MBA, presenting on Maternal Mental Health Among Military Families.

Attendees valued the opportunity to meet others working in the field, learn about resources for military mothers and families, and hear updates on maternal mental health research, policies, and services. Attendees shared that they left the Roundtable feeling inspired, supported, optimistic, and more connected to others working to improve the maternal mental health of service members, veterans, and military spouses.

“Loved the energy. It is very motivating to see that many great people working on such an important topic.”

“The community feel of the event. Everyone was willing to share information and support each other.”

Thank you to our presenters, attendees, partners, and supporters for contributing their time, expertise, experiences, and resources. Together, we are building connections and advancing policies and programs that support military maternal mental health.
