Meet with Your Elected Officials

Developing a relationship with your federal and state elected officials is a great way to create change on the issues you care about.

To organize an in-person meeting with your elected officials, follow the steps below:

  1. Contact your federal elected officials.

  2. Find your federal elected officials’ local offices by visiting their website and looking for an office address or a link titled “Office Locations.”

  3. Plan an effective meeting using MMHLA’s Advocacy Toolkit (specifically pages 29-30).
