Intermediate Levels of Care: Treating Moderate to Severe Maternal Mental Health Conditions
Intermediate Levels of Care (ILOCs) are short-term programs designed to treat individuals who are experiencing moderate to severe maternal mental health conditions. These programs include Partial Hospitalization Programs (PHPs) and Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOPs). The United States has approximately 50 specialized ILOCs that provide care to pregnant and postpartum patients experiencing severe mental health conditions.
